By Poll results; not unexpected but last wake up call for BJP

Today's By Poll results are more or less on expected lines; however the same intend to serve some of the last few  harsh reminders to BJP :-

1. BJP alone can't counter the might of united opposition any longer. Besides stitching small small new alliances ; BJP must do it's best to ensure that it's existing alliance partners continue to stick on to it. It is true that BJP hasn't lost /mayn't lose alliance partners like Chandra babu Naidu/Shiv Sena etc. due to its own mistakes. However, every loss of an alliance partner,be small or big, contributes to combined opposition might, their motivation/morale, their buoyancy etc. Today's by Poll results in Bihar/Jharkhand etc should make BJP further vigilant about not losing couple of more alliance partners.

2. BJP must be on its toes, work with extra zeal and pace to reverse it's image in the eyes of common masses, especially middle class. BJP must know, middle class is it's biggest supporter base and brand ambassador too. Unfortunately, whatever has happened due to recent years' economic policies/economic measures of the govt, middle class is feeling hurt. I must say, despite all their sufferings, most of the people from middle class still love Modi and want him back in 2019 too but does it mean ,  govt should take them for granted for too long? What I feel, getting the trust of middle class back, is absolutely a must and for that pruning of economic policy/measures, to some extent, in favour of middle class is the critical need of the hour and the govt must work on war footing on this front. BJP must realize, middle class, mayn't be in overwhelming majority but they are the opinion makers. If they created favorable opinion /image of Modi among the masses earlier and despite the same, if they are allowed to feel irritated for too long, they may ensure too difficult for BJP to win 2019 elections.

3. Not that middle class is expecting moon from Modi Govt. What they want is small relief in terms of taxation,direct or indirect , affecting their daily lives. I wonder, why the govt lost a golden opportunity to give a token gift to middle class in its last budget before 2019 elections? Was it not sensible on part of govt to bring down income tax by notional decrease of even 5%? It mayn't have burdened Govt exchequer much;however it would have conveyed a positive intent of the Govt to middle class that "we care for you" and this much of message may have been enough for BJP's middle class voters.

4. Spiralling petroleum prices is adding fuel to the fire for the BJP Govt.
 Any sensible person may understand  that revenue earned through petroleum products are utilized for building nation's  infrastructure, initiating several public welfare programmes/projects, strengthening our defence etc.;however, there is a limit up to which people may like to sacrifice their own interests for the sake of nation. Now, petroleum prices are all time high and now, it has gone beyond the tolerance level of the common masses.

If Govt can't put petroleum products under GST, it can at least bring down excise duty to give some relief to common masses.

5. At the end, what I feel is, It is high time, Govt started doling out  small small sops to common masses. I know,  populism is bad for economy but when you know all evil forces have joined hands to spread hate Modi campaign and oust him, by hook or by crook, Govt has no choice but to indulge in populism, to small extent at least,  in the election year.

I am sure, all the nationalists still want Modi back in 2019 as well for the long term interests of the nation and most importantly for the pride and survival of hinduism; however, for that Modi Ji, himself,  need to act and act very fast. If Modi ji, falters and fails to come back in 2019, it will be very sad day for the nation.

Gujarat Verdict, a great balancer ,good for BJP & nation too

"99" figure intends to serve interests of BJP as well as the nation.

22 years of anti incumbency along with  demonetization & GST following in quick succession disrupting business interests of powerful trading community in  Gujarat( always big supporters of BJP) but most importantly organized attempts of HAJ ( Hardik, Alpesh, Jignesh) backed up by Congress & few other disintegrating forces, to whip up anger of people of their communities against BJP & despite all the above if BJP has sailed through to cross majority mark of "92" is not a mean achievement for BJP. Today, pseudo  secular media/political leaders are shocked & surprised that how come BJP has won, despite so much of visible anger & vocal opposition  of sizable no. of Gujratis against BJP. Probably they are not wrong. There was huge anger & opposition of large no. of Gujarati's clearly  visible on the Ground and even BJP supporters were keeping their fingers crossed till counting ended despite favorable opinion polls & exit poll results. BJP's victory due to aforesaid reasons looked impossible but thanks God at the end majority of wise, mature, middle aged & older  Gujratis, cutting across caste lines came together to save "prestige" of their lovable Narendra Bhai in the interests of Gujarat as well as the nation. They came together, despite their anger, to vote for Narendra Bhai. They knew, if their anger against local BJP leaders dethroned BJP in Gujarat, not only communal riots will revisit Gujarat & become routine as in the past but will also disrupt continuous development of Gujarat during last 22 years . More importantly these wiser people of Gujarat as elsewhere in the country wanted another term for Narendra Bhai in the long term  interests of the nation & hence voted for BJP in Gujarat. Probably,  they knew very well, if Gujarat is lost for BJP, it will have cascading effect across the nation disrupting chances of Narendra Bhai to become PM yet again in 2019. And they felt that as Gujarat & nation continue to need  Narendra Bhai, they must overcome their    anger and vote for BJP.

This is how, BJP 's citadel in Gujarat  again remained impregnable from huge  attacks of congress & other casteist & disintegrating forces.

At the end majority of wise Gujratis saved Gujarat for BJP ; however at the same time, by giving a wafer thin majority, they have served the interests of nation also. Today, BJP must be happy that by winning a tough battle in Gujarat, they have been given a new lease of life and if they want to win ensuing  tough elections in MP, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh etc. & if they have to win Loksabha elections in 2019, they need to act & act fast. No doubt, BJP under Narendra Modi have taken huge social & economic initiatives in the long term interests of the nation, however good results of the same are yet to be felt by common masses. It is a hard reality that whatever may be the reason, economy is yet to find the kind of  pace needed to create enough jobs & economic opportunities for common masses. Demonetization & GST may be well intended measures in the long term interests of the nation, however, our economy must come out of its disruption effect fast. Economy must grow faster in order to create larger no. of jobs & various other economic opportunities for over all betterment of the nation. People must begin to feel  at least "achche din" are not far ahead, and may begin any time in the near future. 

Also figure of "99" may serve interests of nation in other way. It has saved main opposition party from annihilation. Another humiliating defeat would have brought Congress on the verge of extinction and that won't have been good for the nation. Strong opposition is essence for the defence of the nation. By giving 80 seats to Congress, Gujarat has saved Congress to remain relevant & fight ruling BJP to keep them in check and work for larger interests of the nation.

In a nutshell, Wise voters of Gujarat by giving a wafer thin majority have served the interests of Narendra Modi Led BJP & larger interests of the nation too. I am happy & I am sure many other well wishers of BJP & nation must be feeling the same.
